On Saturday night, Taliban militants killed Bano Nagar, a former Afghan government police officer who was also 8 months pregnant, in front of her children and husband. Local residents confirmed the incident to the media. An eyewitness to the incident told the media that, the Taliban first beat the police officer severely, then shot her in the head in front of her family. According to the source, some of the Taliban militants were speaking in Arabic. However, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid denied Taliban involvement in the incident and stated that , “the Taliban had already announced an amnesty for people who worked for the previous administration” but reports of such retaliatory killings are still coming from various part of the county that are under their control.
