Last night, unidentified gunmen on motorcycles attacked the car of Ali Reza Sharifi, a journalist filming for the Iranian news network in Kabul. Mr Sharifi was wounded in the attack. The militants managed to flee the area. Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi told the media that they are aware of the incident and their forces had launched an investigation into the perpetrators. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Violence against journalists has increase since the fall of the Afghan government. According to the Journalists Supports Organization, only in the past two months it has registered more than 30 cases of violence and intimidation against journalists,.
