Afghans living in Norway protested against Taliban delegation’s visit to Norway!

Afghans living in Norway protested on Sunday against a Taliban delegation that had traveled to the Norwegian capital Oslo to discuss a range of issues with the country’s officials and representatives of the international community.

Demonstrators told the media that the protest was organized against of the Taliban delegation’s visit and their meetings with Norwegian officials and members of the international community. The protesters also told the media that the Taliban are on the U.S. blacklist of terrorists and should not be talked to in Norway.

A Taliban delegation led by Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki arrived in Oslo on Saturday and is scheduled to meet with special envoys from Norway, France, Germany, Italy, Britain, the United States and the European Union. Earlier, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that calling for talks with the Taliban did not mean recognizing them. In order to resolve the current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, it is necessary to hold talks with Taliban representatives.
