Five policemen (Hawaldar Kamran, Soldier Jamshid, Soldier Munawar, Soldier Mirza Ali and the driver) were killed and 7 other were injured in a armed attack on a Pakistani police patrol in Dera Ismail Khan Kalachi Tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on evening at April 11th. Imtiaz Ali Janjua, a police spokesman for Dera Ismail Khan, confirmed the attack to media. He told the media that the militants first fired a rocket at a police patrol near Yadgar Chowk in Dera Ismail Khel Kalachi Tehsil in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, followed by an armed clash that resulted in the deaths and injuries. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant group active in the area, also claimed responsibility for the attack. The other day, two more policemen were killed in a separate attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
