At least 3 policemen including the DSP of Badabira police station killed while unknown armed militants stormed the Sarband police station in the outskirt area of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

While giving updates to media, the Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) operations of Peshawar, Kashif Aftab Abbasi stated that “ late night terrorists attacked Sarband police station from two sides with automatic guns, hand grenades and sniper guns fitted with night vision goggles, and our police forces bravely pushed back the attackers but unfortunately we lost 3 brave policemen including DSP Sardar Hussain.”

SSP Operation Kashif Aftab Abbasi told media that ” the DSP and his two fellow policemen were targeted by sniper as the DSP Sardar Hussain and his fellows were chasing the terrorists”.
SSP Operations further said that a police search operation is underway in the area to find the terrorists.
