PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan says that PTI will return to the government with a two-thirds majority, adding that when he sends the summary of the dissolution of the assembly to the governor, he will send messages to all the journalists by himself.
Addressing the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected cabinet of Peshawar Press Club, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that Imran Khan has favored me to make a poor man like me as the Chief Minister of the province, so i will not take a minute if he would give orders of dissolving assembly.
CM announced that being as CM KPK, this is his last address of his tenure delivered to the journalists. He praised the efforts of media in society and announced the grant of 5 crore rupees for the developmental projects of peshawar press club. Provincial Minister Kamran Bangash, Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, Secretary Information Arshad Khan, Director General Information Imdadullah and journalists participated in the event in large numbers. The Chief Minister congratulated the new cabinet and governing body members on being elected and hoped that the new cabinet will play its effective role for the welfare of journalists.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan condemned the statement of the Interior Minister and said that the Federal Interior Minister is a clown, he is the killer of the innocents of Model Town. If there is no peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is impossible to achieve peace in the entire country, he added. The chief minister condemned the federal government’s notification regarding the merged districts and said that he will approach the court against this notification, adding that the governor Kp is nothing more than a puppet whose only job is to sign documents.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that the total amount of 200 billion rupees is due to the federal government, while federal government is not giving the development fund to the province, but only to its MNAs, while as the PDM came to rule, it has finished only its cases.
