The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zahra Baloch, stated in a recent statement that Pakistan has shared its deep concern with the United States regarding the significant threat of terrorism originating from Afghanistan.
In her weekly briefing, Zahra Baloch alleged, “Anti-Pakistan forces in Afghanistan are supporting terrorists, which has severely harmed Pakistan’s peace and stability. We are deeply concerned about the continued support of our enemies for terrorists.”
She further added that discussions were held last week in Islamabad with special representatives from China and Russia regarding the growing threat of terrorism against Pakistan and the region from Afghanistan. However, she refrained from providing details about these talks.
The spokesperson also stated, “We hope that the Afghan authorities will take serious measures to address this threat of terrorism in accordance with the Doha Agreement and their commitments.”
She emphasized, “Currently, we are also in talks with the United States to ensure that the Afghan authorities do not fall short in fulfilling their commitments under the Doha Agreement and that the threat of terrorism against the region originating from Afghanistan is eliminated.”
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Pakistan has leveled such accusations against Afghanistan. Pakistan has made similar claims on multiple occasions in the past, but Afghan authorities have repeatedly rejected these allegations.
