According to reports, these clashes have occurred over the past three days in various areas of Idlib and Aleppo provinces. It is said that around 200 fighters from the Tahrir al-Sham group and at least 61 soldiers from Bashar al-Assad’s forces have been killed in the fighting.
Videos shared on social media show that Tahrir al-Sham rebels have made significant advances in the battles, capturing some areas within the city of Idlib. On the other hand, as Bashar al-Assad’s forces retreated, Russian-backed airstrikes intensified, reportedly killing about 200 Tahrir Al-Sham rebels.
During these clashes, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad made an emergency visit to Russia and met with President Vladimir Putin. Although no further details of the meeting have been released, analysts believe that discussions likely focused on the current situation of the war and developments in the region.
These clashes have brought the Syrian crisis to a new phase, heightening regional and global concerns.
