Karim Khan: The ICC Will Soon Issue Arrest Warrants for Human Rights perpetrators in Afghanistan !

by Hewad Press

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, announced in a recent statement that arrest warrants for Taliban officials in Afghanistan on charges of human rights violations will be issued soon.

It is worth noting that last week, the ICC announced that six countries—France, Spain, Chile, Luxembourg, Costa Rica, and Mexico—had officially filed a complaint against the Taliban for human rights violations in Afghanistan. According to the court, this complaint has been accepted and welcomed.

Since the Taliban’s takeover of power in 2021, they have imposed severe restrictions on women in Afghanistan too. Women have been barred from many job opportunities, and girls are denied the right to education beyond the sixth grade. These actions have sparked widespread international criticism and concern.
