In the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the border with Afghanistan, unidentified gunmen launched an attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost, resulting in the deaths of at least six soldiers and injuring seven others.
According to local sources, the attack occurred during the night, and the assailants fled the scene after the assault. The wounded soldiers have been transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the attackers.
