by Hewad Press

According to The New York Times, three Iranian officials have confirmed that Iran has begun the process of withdrawing its senior military commanders and personnel from Syria. This move comes as clear signs of the potential collapse of the Assad regime are emerging.

The report states that senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Quds Force have left Syria, seeking refuge in Lebanon and Iraq.

Simultaneously, Iranian military forces, diplomatic staff, their families, and other Iranian civilians were ordered to leave Syria starting Friday. This directive was issued by the Iranian Embassy in Damascus and the leadership of the IRGC.

According to the report, the evacuation is being carried out through commercial flights between Damascus and Tehran, while some individuals are being transferred via land routes through Lebanon, Iraq, and the port of Latakia in Syria.

Experts believe this move by Iran signals political and military instability in Syria and reinforces the likelihood of the Assad regime’s imminent collapse.
