Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in his latest address that Russia has escalated its attacks on Ukraine, directly opposing ongoing peace efforts. He revealed that in just the past week alone, Russia has launched nearly 630 guided ariel bombs, 550 strikes drones, and over 100 various types of missiles against Ukraine.
During his remarks, Zelensky praised the sacrifices of Ukrainian forces and renewed his call to international partners for strengthening Ukraine’s air defense systems. He stated: “We must further enhance our defensive capabilities to protect the lives of our people.”
President Zelensky also emphasized the importance of global unity and strength, adding: “The world must be more united and stronger than ever. Only through force can we compel Russia and its allies to abandon terrorism and achieve a just peace.”
It is worth noting that Zelensky’s remarks come at a time when peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are reportedly ongoing, facilitated by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
