The U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson, Pat Ryder, stated in his latest announcement that approximately 2,000 American troops are currently stationed in Syria. Speaking to the media today, he noted that the number of U.S. forces in Syria has increased from 900 to 2,000.
Ryder further explained that these additional forces have been deployed to Syria for a temporary mission.
It is worth mentioning that following the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime, the U.S. has increased the number of its troops in Syria. These forces are expected to protect U.S. interests and safeguard its regional allies.
