Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal Anatoliyovych recently stated that the United States would transfer $15 billion to Ukraine as future revenue derived from frozen Russian assets.
Additionally, it was reported on December 24 that Ukraine had received the first installment of $1 billion from these frozen assets.
The G7 nations, including the United States, have discussed redirecting the profits from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. Their objective is to provide financial support for Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts and its fight against Russia’s invasion.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the United States has provided Ukraine with over $62 billion in security assistance to support its defense against Russian aggression.
The use of revenues and profits from frozen Russian assets represents a new strategy adopted by the international community to sustain Ukraine.
