Reports from Balochistan indicate that two separate attacks in Kalat and Kech districts of Balochistan have resulted in casualties among FC and Levies personnel.
According to news sources, last night, unidentified militants attacked an FC checkpoint in the Mand area of Kech district, killing three FC soldiers and injuring six others. Similarly, today, in Kalat district, an attack on a Levies checkpoint by unknown assailants left one Levies soldier dead and two others injured.
Balochistan Governor’s spokesperson, Shahid Rind, confirmed both incidents to the media and stated that search operations are underway to track down the attackers.
It is worth noting that, although no group has yet claimed responsibility for these attacks, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an armed separatist group, operates in the region.
