The head of Pakistan’s military public relations wing (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, told the media on Wednesday that the attack and hostage-taking on the Jaffer Express train in Balochistan were directed from Afghanistan.
In his statement, he claimed that Pakistani intelligence had obtained precise information confirming that the incident was orchestrated from Afghanistan. He also urged the ruling Taliban in Kabul to prevent anti-Pakistan militant activities in their territory.
Meanwhile, several pro-Pakistani intelligence accounts on social media have claimed that the Baloch Majeed Brigade and the Al-Hamza suicide group were involved in the Bolan attack. They alleged that the Al-Hamza suicide group operates under the leadership of Tajmir Jawad, the deputy head of the Taliban’s General Directorate of Intelligence. Along with these claims, they circulated an image of a passport under the name of Tajmir, which Hewad Press could not independently verify.
It is worth noting that while the Taliban government in Kabul has not yet officially responded to Pakistan’s latest accusations, they have previously dismissed such claims.
