Reports from Punjab indicate that a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba leader and close aide of Hafiz Saeed, Faisal Nadeem, also known as Abu Qateel, was assassinated in a targeted attack by unknown gunmen in the Jhelum area of Punjab today.
According to sources, Faisal Nadeem was on India’s most-wanted list and was considered a key member of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed was also injured in the attack and later succumbed to his wounds at the hospital. However, Pakistani authorities have yet to confirm this information.
