Reports from Nushki district in Balochistan indicate that a suicide attack targeted a Pakistani military convoy today on the RCD Highway near the Rakhshan area, resulting in dozens of casualties among the troops.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), in a fresh statement, has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that its Majeed Brigade suicide unit carried out the operation, killing up to 90 Pakistani soldiers.
On the other hand, Balochistan authorities have confirmed the attack but reported that 11 soldiers were killed and 21 others were injured.
It is worth noting that this attack comes just a week after Baloch militants targeted the Jaffer Express train in the Bolan region of Balochistan, which was carrying hundreds of Pakistani troops. According to reports, that attack resulted in the deaths of at least 200 personnel from various Pakistani security agencies.
