Kabul – Nadia Sadat, who was recently released from Taliban captivity, stated in an exclusive interview with Afghanistan International TV today that the Taliban filmed her naked while she was in prison.
In her emotional interview, Sadat said that during her imprisonment, the Taliban not only tortured her but also recorded a nude video of her.
Speaking with a choked voice and eyes filled with tears, she revealed:
“The Taliban stripped me naked and filmed me. But they didn’t stop there. They would come into our prison cell at midnight or before sunrise and do whatever they wanted to us.”
According to her, the Taliban subjected her to both physical and psychological abuse, as well as actions that were a gross violation of human dignity.
It is worth noting that although Taliban officials have repeatedly claimed that prisoners are treated “according to Islamic and humanitarian principles,” Nadia Sadat’s statements once again serve as a documented example of the Taliban’s inhumane treatment of detainees, particularly female prisoners — and they directly challenge the Taliban’s official stance.
Women’s rights activists have described this incident as a serious violation of human rights inside Taliban prisons and have called on the international community to launch an independent investigation into the treatment of prisoners by the Taliban.
It is important to emphasize that this is not the first time reports of mistreatment and abuse in Taliban prisons have surfaced; however, Nadia Sadat’s case is considered unprecedented due to her decision to speak publicly and share her detailed account.
