Reports from London indicate that a massive fire at an electrical substation near Heathrow Airport has led to the cancellation or diversion of more than thousand of flights, leaving passengers stranded.
London authorities told the media that the cause of the fire remains unknown, but emergency teams are focused on extinguishing the blaze as a priority. Officials also confirmed that the fire has resulted in a widespread power outage, affecting thousands of households in the area.
Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest in the world, has experienced severe disruptions over the past 24 hours, with at least 1,300 flights either canceled or rerouted. The airport remains closed until further notice.
