Washington, D.C. — The U.S. Office of Government Efficiency has revealed that recent investigations uncovered a $130,000 contract awarded by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) to a former member of the Taliban. The nature and specifics of the services rendered under this contract remain undisclosed.

The agency’s director, Elon Musk, told Fox News in a recent interview that his investigative team has documented the contract and submitted the evidence to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice for legal review.

“We are committed to ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent transparently, lawfully, and with clear purpose,” Musk stated. “We will pursue such matters with utmost seriousness.”

This is not the first time reports have surfaced regarding financial aid or contracts involving Taliban members facilitated by U.S.-linked institutions. Previously, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) had reported that a portion of U.S. civilian aid allocated to Afghanistan by the Department of State had, in reality, reached the Taliban.
