President Biden today officially announced that the United State forces will leave Afghanistan after 20 years fighting on war of terror by September 11-2021. Though, he did not declare a victory there, but said that America achieved the goal of eliminating threats of world dangerous terror, thus further U.S. forces stay will not be necessary there. “We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result,” Biden said. “I am now the fourth American president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats. I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth.” Leaving in right time was the argument, which the previous Presidents were faced and did not decide when to leave Afghanistan. “The main argument for staying is what each of my three predecessors have grappled with. No one wants to say that we should be in Afghanistan forever, but they insist now is not the right moment to leave,” he said. However, Biden decision was supported by some liberal democrats but criticized by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. Speaking on press conference after the Biden withdrawal plan, Graham stated that “Afghanistan is worse than Iraq, This is where the war started, and every terrorist camp in the world is on steroids today because in their world they beat us. In their world, they drove us out.” Graham further added that “I find it ironic that, given the sacrifices we’ve made to move Afghanistan forward, prevent another 9/11, and ensure the enduring defeat of al Qaeda and ISIS, that on the 20th anniversary of the attack we’re paving the way for another attack,”.
