A large explosion took place at the Serena Hotel parking lot near Zarghoon Road in central city of Baluchistan. The blast, which occurred at 10:05 p.m. tonight, caused extensive financial and personal casualties. Pictures published in the Pakistani media shows a large fire and extensive destruction in front of the hotel. Quetta Deputy Commissioner Aurangzeb Badani wrote on his Twitter account that four people had been killed and 12 others injured in the blast. Quetta security officials told the media that the explosives were placed in a car and was detonated in the hotel parking lot. Although no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, Baluchistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal called it’s a terrorist act.
