The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Rohollah Ahmadzai says that Afghan security forces have taken tactical backs from Maidan Wardak Jalrez district, but the Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the media that the district has been fall out to their fighters and some security forces surrendered their selves to them as well. Although the Ministry of National Defense did not accept the surrender of security forces, it added that the security situation will be changed there soon.
Jalrez is in the west of Maidan Wardak province. It lies 62 kilometers southwest of Kabul.
