A two-day meeting between Afghan government and armed Taliban negotiations team started in Doha.
The Afghan government’s senior peace delegation in Qatar center Doha, which was led by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and the negotiating board of armed Taliban who was led by Mullah Brother, started a two-day meeting in the name of Afghan peace.
In an opening speech to this two-day meeting, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the Afghan Peace Council, said that ′′ Let’s grow what is positive and avoid what both sides are sure about that will harm the country and national interests. Every day when negotiations are delayed, we will be blamed for it. For this sake, let’s cross the margins and discuss the main topic of the problem. When this blood is shed, it is the blood of Afghans and Muslims, we can’t splint it and we can’t get rid of our responsibility”.
The deputy of the political office of Armed Taliban in Doha, Mullah Abdul Ghani brother, also talked about peace during his speech. He added that ′′ We and you all have a joint responsibility that our nation’s great and unstoppable sacrifices will not be wasted. Rather, to achieve this great goal, we need to cooperate and co-operate, but unfortunately there are some problems, there are no improvements in the way we expected, but still we should not hopeless or get disappointed.
This two-day meeting of Afghan peace is happening in Doha at a time when war in Afghanistan is very intensified and Taliban fighters believe that they can win the war, hence their representatives at Doha not-interested in critical negotiations to lead Afghan people to peace.
