The Taliban government ministry of high education recently issued letter, has ordered private universities to ban female students from their entry exams to the universities, until further notice.
The Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban has ordered the private universities to pause the entry exams for Afghan girls to further notice and if anyone violates this order, would face legal actions. The association of private universities in Afghanistan has confirmed receipt of that letter to the media and said that they will obey. The application of this new restriction against Afghan women, surfacing in a time, while in closed doors meeting, Taliban high-ranking officials have promised the international community, that soon they will resume Afghan girls’ education but in fact it appears that, the words and actions of the Taliban leaders are not matching!
