Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his nightly address to the nation, announced that the U.S. has granted Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles. Referring to this development, Zelenskyy stated, “Today, there’s a lot of talk in the media about us receiving permission for respective actions. But strikes are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. Missiles will speak for themselves. They certainly will”.

Although that this permission comes at a time when North Korea has reportedly sent 10,000 troops to assist Russia in the war against Ukraine. Reports indicate that these troops are currently on their way to join Russian forces in the Battle of Kursk.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden is nearing the end of his presidency, and concerns are growing that with Donald Trump’s return to power, Ukraine may lose strong U.S. support, which could lead to a swift loss in the war.

However, Trump himself, following the elections, has called on Putin to avoid escalating the war in Ukraine and to resolve the matter through negotiations.
