Afghanistan: Afghan Women Protest the Closure of Medical Education Centers for Women!

by Hewad Press

In Afghanistan, the Taliban have ordered the closure of medical education centers for women based on a decree issued by Amir Hibbatullah. In response to this decision, female students gathered today in protest in front of these educational centers, demanding their reopening.

The protesters stated that closing medical education centers for women not only violates their right to education but also harms the future of healthcare services in society. They called on the Taliban to reverse the decision and restore women’s rights to education and employment.

So far, the Taliban have not officially commented on this matter. However, based on their past policies, restrictions on women’s education and work are considered part of their broader strategy. This decision has faced strong reactions from the international community and human rights organizations.
