Hanif Atmar, former National Security Advisor of Afghanistan, has expressed deep concern over the Taliban’s decision to shut down charitable organizations in Afghanistan.
In his latest statement, Atmar said that, according to both official and unofficial reports, the Taliban leader has issued orders to close charitable organizations across the country.
He warned that this decision could pose a serious threat to the lives of millions of Afghans who rely on the aid provided by these organizations. Atmar emphasized:
“With the closure of these organizations, the lives of countless people will be endangered, and global efforts to address this situation are urgently needed.”
Hanif Atmar called on the international community, member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the UN Security Council to play their role in responding to this decision. He added that, in these difficult circumstances, differences must be set aside, and joint cooperation is essential to save Afghan lives.
This statement comes as Afghanistan faces a severe economic and humanitarian crisis, with charitable organizations serving as a critical lifeline to support and save the Afghan people.
