Today, in Stockholm, Sweden, a large number of Syrians took to the streets to celebrate the downfall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The gathering expressed their support for the end of Assad’s rule and called for a new era of change. During the gathering , many participants carried Syrian national flags and chanted slogans of freedom.
Participants in the Stockholm gathering stated that this day symbolizes a beacon of hope for the Syrian people, who have lived for years under oppression and war.
