Zelensky: The Need for a Just and Reliable Peace; Russia Can Only Be Stopped by Force!

by Hewad Press

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his latest remarks, has called on the international community to take serious measures to stop Russia. Speaking after meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace and former U.S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky stated, “Ukraine seeks a just and strong peace, one that Russia will not be able to destroy in the future.”

Zelensky emphasized that Russia is not only waging war against Ukraine but is also attempting to destabilize Georgia, Moldova, Syria, and even parts of Africa.

According to him, Russia’s losses have so far reached 750,000, including 198,000 killed and 550,000 wounded. At the same time, Zelensky reported that Ukraine has lost 43,000 soldiers, but advanced medical services have enabled a high number of wounded troops to return to the front lines.

President Zelensky also highlighted the plight of thousands of military and civilian prisoners held in Russian captivity, pledging to continue efforts to secure their freedom. He further expressed concern about Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, estimating their number to be in the hundreds of thousands.

Zelensky added, “Putin is afflicted with the disease of war. He can only be stopped by the power of the world. We expect unity from the United States and the entire world to halt Russia’s aggression.”

He concluded by stressing that the war must end, but the peace that follows must be lasting and reliable, because a ceasefire without guarantees could merely serve as the beginning of another war.
