Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Warns Kabul Taliban Over Support for TTP Militants!

by Hewad Press

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a recent statement, warned the Taliban government that supporting and providing safe havens to TTP militants would have serious consequences. He stated, “Providing refuge to TTP militants while expecting good neighborly relations is unacceptable. TTP is a red line for us.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that TTP operates from Afghan soil and enjoys safe havens there. He said, “It is now the responsibility of the Taliban government to take decisive action against this group. If the current situation persists, Pakistan will not tolerate it and will take all necessary measures to defend itself.”

It is worth noting that Shehbaz Sharif’s statement comes in the aftermath of Pakistan’s airstrikes on Wednesday night in Afghanistan’s southeastern Paktika province, Barmal district. Reports indicate that the bombings killed at least 70 Afghan civilians, most of whom were women and children, while dozens more were injured.
