A Kabul-based source, speaking to Hewad Press on condition of anonymity, reported that today’s explosion near the Ministry of Interior in Kabul killed three people, including two Taliban officials and one civilian. Seven others, all civilians, were injured.
According to the source, the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device on a motorcycle. The blast also damaged a Taliban Reaction Force Land Cruiser and a Hilux vehicle at the scene.
The armed anti-Taliban group, known as the Resistance Front, has claimed responsibility for the attack, asserting that it killed eight Taliban members and injured several others. However, Khalid Zadran, a spokesperson for the Kabul police department, reported only four people were injured.
