According to the Pakistan Dawn newspaper, sources have confirmed that the Afghan Taliban’s attacks on Saturday along the Durand Line caused casualties among 12 Pakistani border soldiers. Dawn’s report states that in the vicinity of Kurram, Afghan Taliban fighters launched light and heavy weapons attacks on four Pakistani border posts (Ghozgarhi, Matha Sangar, Kot Ragha, and Tari Mengal), resulting in one soldier being killed and 11 others injured. The report also mentioned that in response to the attacks, Pakistani border forces killed at least eight Afghan Taliban fighters.

It’s worth noting that this political tension between the Afghan Taliban and Pakistan escalated after Pakistan’s Air Force conducted heavy bombing in Paktika province three days ago, under the pretext of targeting TTP militants, killing at least 70 people, mostly women and children, and injuring dozens more.
