A KLM Boeing 737-800 aircraft made an emergency landing at Oslo Torp Sandefjord Airport in Norway due to a hydraulic failure and skidded off the runway.

According to reports, the flight, which was traveling from Oslo to Amsterdam, was diverted to Sandefjord Airport, located about 110 kilometers south of Oslo, due to the hydraulic issue. The plane landed safely, but it lost control during the rollout and came to a stop in the soft grass near a taxiway.

All 182 people on board, including passengers and crew, remained unharmed in the incident.

In a statement, KLM Airlines said: “A loud noise was heard during the takeoff of flight KL1204 from Oslo to Amsterdam. It was decided to divert the aircraft to Sandefjord Airport. After landing, the plane veered off the runway into the grass at low speed. All 176 passengers and 6 crew members are unharmed, and their care is ongoing. Investigations into the incident are underway.”

After the emergency landing, passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft using mobile stairs, and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene.

Authorities are currently providing support and assistance to the passengers and crew.

On Saturday, another incident occurred with an Air Canada flight, where it skidded off the runway at Halifax Airport during a rough landing and caught fire. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported in this incident.
