“The fact is that the Azerbaijani plane was damaged externally near Grozny, within Russian territory, and practically lost control.
Our plane was destabilized by electronic warfare equipment. This was the first damage inflicted on the plane,” he noted.
Aliyev further mentioned that Russian official bodies presented theories suggesting that the incident was caused by a gas cylinder explosion, which indicates their attempt to cover up the matter. This raises doubts about their integrity.
“It was necessary for them to admit their mistake and apologize to Azerbaijan. However, in the first three days, Russia did not respond adequately and only offered baseless theories,” he said.
