The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced today that a ballistic missile launched by Houthi rebels from Yemeni territory toward Israel was intercepted by Israel’s air defense system as it approached central Israeli airspace.
A video released by Israeli media shows the missile being successfully intercepted in the air, but a fragment of it fell to the ground, causing an explosion and flames. Israeli security officials have not yet reported any casualties resulting from the incident.
It is worth noting that military clashes between Houthi rebels and Israel have intensified in recent weeks, raising concerns about escalating tensions and conflict in the region.
