CENTCOM:—The U.S. military has escalated its offensive against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, conducting continuous 24/7 airstrikes from the aircraft carriers USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). This operation, part of “Operation Roughrider,” has resulted in over 800 strikes since its inception on March 15, 2025, under President Donald Trump’s directive.
The campaign aims to dismantle the Houthis’ missile and drone capabilities, which have threatened Red Sea shipping lanes and targeted U.S. and Israeli interests.
The U.S. Navy has released footage showcasing the ongoing operations from the deployed aircraft carriers, highlighting the sustained military pressure on Houthi positions.
